How to Share Your Blueprints
Sharing your blueprints is easy! Follow these steps:
- Create an Account - Register or log in to your account.
- Upload Your Blueprint - Go to the
Upload page
and provide:
- A descriptive name for your blueprint
- Your
.afblueprint file (max 200 KB) - Screenshots (optional but recommended) - up to 5 images
- Tags (optional) - help others find your blueprint
- Description (optional) - explain how your blueprint works
- Share the Link - After uploading, you'll get a unique link like:
https://alchemyfactoryhub.com/blueprints/01JGHZXXX...
- Anyone Can Download - Share this link with friends, on Reddit, Discord, or anywhere else. No account needed to download!
Where to find your blueprint files?
Option 1: Windows Explorer
%localappdata%\AlchemyFactory\Saved\Blueprints
Option 2: In-Game
Open the game and select Options → Blueprint directory to open the folder.
How to Download Blueprints
Downloading blueprints is simple and doesn't require an account:
- Browse the Catalog - Visit the Blueprint Catalog to discover community creations. You can search by name, tag, or author.
- View Blueprint Details - Click on any blueprint to see screenshots, description, and stats.
- Download - Click the
Download File
button to get the
.affile. - Import to Game - Open Alchemy Factory and import the downloaded blueprint file.
Sharing Options
All blueprints on this site are publicly accessible:
- Public Links - Anyone with the link can view and download your blueprint
- Catalog Visibility - Your blueprints appear in the public catalog for others to discover
- No Private Blueprints - Currently, all uploaded blueprints are visible to everyone
Tip: Only upload blueprints you're comfortable sharing with the entire community!
Blueprint Identification
Each blueprint has a unique identifier:
- Public ID - A 26-character Base32 code (example:
01JGHZXXX2ABCDEFGHIJK) - Permanent Link - The URL will never change, so your shared links always work
- Visible on Blueprint Page - You can find the ID at the bottom of the sidebar on each blueprint's page
Tags & Discovery
Tags help others discover your blueprints:
- Add Tags - When uploading, add relevant tags (e.g., "production", "compact", "efficient")
- Filter by Tags - Click any tag in the catalog to see similar blueprints
- Popular Tags - Check which tags are most used to understand community trends
Community Features
Engage with the community:
- Reactions - Give a ❤️ to blueprints you like (requires login)
- Comments - Discuss blueprints with creators and other users
- Track Stats - See download counts, views, and reaction counts
- Author Profiles - Click on any username to see all their blueprints
